SYSTEM OF A DOWN & VIDDY PARTNER TO GIVEAWAY VIP BOX SEAT TICKETS TO AUGUST 15 CHICAGO SHOW

Venice, CA (August 6, 2012) - GRAMMY Award-winning Alt/rock band System Of A Down recently joined VIDDY, and is partnering with the iPhone app for a contest to giveaway tickets to their final summer show of the System Of A Down/Deftones tour. The band is giving away a luxury box for one fan and nine of his or her friends to their August 15 Chicago show at the Allstate Arena. To enter, fans are asked to submit a VIDDY inspired by a System Of A Down song, tagging it #SystemInChicago. All entries must be submitted by August 8. The winner will be announced on August 13.

System Of A Down, also known by the acronym SOAD, is an Armenian/American rock band from Southern California, composed of lead vocalist Serj Tankian, guitarist/vocalist Daron Malakian, bassist Shavo Odadjian, and drummer John Dolmayan. The band has achieved great success through the release of five studio albums, three of which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, and have collectively sold over 20 million records. System Of A Down won a GRAMMY in 2006 for Best Hard Rock Performance for their song “B.Y.O.B.,” and have been nominated for three other GRAMMYAwards.
